Audio books
Recording an audio book is often seen as quite a simple piece of work. Generally speaking you only need one or two microphones and a small basic studio and you’re in business.
At 4 Part Music we founded our business on high quality multi channel recordings of choirs and large musical ensembles. To record an audio book we therefore use a similar set up just with fewer microphones. However, we never compromise on quality so still record spoken audio at 96/24 to ensure the highest possible audio standards are maintained.
Our main advantage is we can record almost anywhere as our entire system is designed to be portable. We also carry various types of acoustic paneling so we can turn almost any space into a high quality recording studio. The beauty of this is that we come to you thus saving on time consuming travel and all the other associated costs of having to go to a studio in order to record.
As our studio is mobile, in many cases we can often output files there and then on site. Where multiple edits are required, however, we would generally do this back at our mastering studio.
