Last week 4 Part Music travelled to Market Harborough to record a CD on location in Leicestershire for Market Harborough Choral Society.
The CD was being recorded as part of the WW1 Centenary Celebrations and featured a specially written work. The CD features a selection of favourite choral items for Christmas, preceded by Richard Blewitts’ special setting of WW1 poetry, “Your Country Needs You”.
This was the first professional CD recorded by Market Harborough Choral Society and the Choir had done a magnificent job in preparing for the recording. A recording session is never easy whether you are an amateur choir recording your first CD or a seasoned professional used to long hours in the studio. Our job at 4 Part Music is to do the beset we can to make the recording day a memorable and fun experience for everyone involved.
We thought Market Harborough Choral Society did a fantastic job and worked hard. The resulting CD is testimony to their efforts not only on the day but in the weeks leading up to the recording session. We wish them the best of luck promoting their CD and hope it proves to be a positive inspiration for the choir to go on to even better things.
