The weeks leading up to Christmas are our busiest time of year for recording in Primary Schools all over the UK
Each year around this time we start to get busy recording in schools all over the UK in the run up to Christmas. Recording a Christmas CD is an extremely popular thing for schools to do nowadays. As well as being an extremely valuable educational experience, it also provides pupils with something they can keep forever as a memory of their school days.
Recording all over the UK
We often get asked if we will travel to, or cover a given area. The answer is pretty much always yes. Basically 4 Part Music will record Schools anywhere in mainland UK without charging for travel. This covers the whole of England and Wales and most of Scotland. Technically we will record in Northern Ireland or on a remote Scottish island although this would attract an additional expense. The thing is we can only record in locations we can get our vehicles to. It would be impossible to try and get our recording gear onto a plane. Luckily this doesn’t pose many restrictions. In 14 years of recording in Schools, we have never yet found anywhere we cannot get to!
Over the years we have been to pretty much every county in England and undertaken an increasing number of recordings in Wales and Scotland. We do get to see lots of the country but mostly in the dark. For the recordings our sound engineers like to arrive by 7.30am and stay through to the end of the day. So whilst we have been to lots of places, generally all we get to see is the inside of the school hall!
Taking bookings for October and November 2017
At the time of writing, we are starting to get very booked up for Christmas recordings this year, which of course is great news for us. However, there is still some space left in the diary. If you would like to record a christmas album at your school this year then please do get in touch.
The Booking Process:
At 4 Part Music, we like to keep things simple. All you need to do is give us a call on 01225 302143 or drop us an email with some dates in mind for your recording session. Once the day is confirmed in our diary, we will come along to your school and record your pupils. The CDs are then delivered to you around 7-10 days later.
