Every year 4 Part Music record an increasing number of CD’s in Primary Schools at Christmas. Most of these are recorded between the end of September and the end of November which keeps us very busy and out on the road most days all over the UK.
About Coningsby Primary School
Based in Lincolnshire, Coningsby St Michael’s CE Primary School believe that every child should be valued for their individuality, culture and heritage. Inspired by our faith in Christ and together with parents, churches and communities they aim for each child to reach their full potential through our core Church School Values:
Lincolnshire is a little way from our Bath Studio so it meant an early start in order to arrive at the school around 7.30am which is our preferred arrival time. By getting to the school early, not only do we avoid issues with traffic but also means we can set up before pupils / staff arrive and be ready to record right from the beginning of the school day usually between 8.30am and 9.00am.
The CD was to be made up of 11/12 class songs, 1 whole school (the 12 days of christmas) and 1 KS2 – a french counting song! Most of the backing tracks were taken from online sources or CDs, for which we were able to extract a direct feed from the School Audio system in the Hall.
