Latest Update Tuesday 17 June 2021
Following the latest update from Boris Johnson we are continuing to maintain our proven Covid Policy in order to undertake recordings in schools.
Tuesday 23 February 2021
With the latest announcement from the Prime Minister last night, there is now some clue as to how lockdown might proceed towards a conclusion over the next few weeks. With schools going back from 8 March 2021 this gives us some hope that before too long recordings will once again be allowed in schools subject to the requirements of social distancing. Recording companies have always been allowed to work during the pandemic and since we operate on location and cannot record without doing so, then we fall under the remit of what is allowed.
As always however, we adopt a case by case approach to all our work and will take on work subject to any guidelines which are in place at the time. We will also work closely with schools to establish and work in accordance with their policies on social distancing measures and other restrictions to ensure we are always working safely and responsibly on location.
Saturday 1 August 2020
4 Part Music Ltd have been working on a wide range of studio projects which include creating virtual choirs and online videos for our clients. With singing still a cause of concern due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are not currently recording choirs. However, we are starting to undertake small recordings on location for professional musicians where proper social distancing can be maintained. We are also taking enquiries from schools with a view to recordings which might be possible in the future.
As always we continue to monitor the latest Government advice as it is released and will make changes to our business model to fit in with the current requirements. Some thoughts on our school recordings can be found on the Recordings 4 Schools blog.
Sunday 6 April 2020
4 Part Music Ltd, has been and continues to follow and adhere to the Government guidance in the UK. We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our staff and customers. Currently we are not carrying out any recordings on location in order to comply with social distancing regulations.
We are however still carrying on with studio production work and are open to new enquiries both for studio work and location recording work in the future.
These are very challenging times for a small business such as ours, but we remain committed to getting through this and look forward to working with both new and existing clients in the very near future.
Tuesday 17 March 2020
Currently 4 Part Music Ltd and associated companies / websites are all open and operating as normal. We are still taking bookings for recordings and carrying out work on location all across the UK. Following the latest update the majority of choirs we work with are suspended until further notice.
We are continuing to take school bookings – although most are from June onwards and of course subject to changing advice as it is received.
The safety of our staff and customers is always paramount and we are monitoring the latest government advice on a daily basis and will adapt our business accordingly.
Like a lot of business, we have had some work cancelled or postponed and we are dealing with that on a case by case basis. Whilst cancellations are subject to our standard terms and conditions, where business can be rebooked, we are trying to minimise the cost for our clients at this stage.
